An Update in PICTURES!

This is of us alone with Khloe. We are playing stickers with her here. It was a rough day. It's hard to imagine she is the same child from then, as she has been playing and giggling for the last 45 minutes. She's amazing... but also very much a 2 year old!  LOL!! ;)

These are of the "Breadman" as known by Interns from NewDay. He makes them fresh with both meat and sweet...and they are both SUPER delicious!

We sampled both during our visit to the village. If I remember right, you can get like seven of them for $1 USD.

These photos are of our day alone with Khloe. This is after the picnic when Khloe went and sat down next to Breanna at the sandbox.

She then continued to play for quite awhile with both Breanna and Dawson. These were very special moments for both of them, having their mei mei (little sister) want to play with them. SO sweet!

These ones were taken during the picnic party for Elva...right after our first couple of hours alone with Khloe. We enjoyed playing with all of the children. Baby Shaun is such a hunny, I wanted to take him home, too.  Timothy's smile is so contageous... he is just so sweet!

Little Jennifer seemed to love Martin and enjoyed playing with him.

This is from our walk in the village, outside NewDay's gates. It's a whole 'nother world out there. I wish everyone could take a walk down these streets and into the more populated areas (we quit taking photos then, out of respect for the people) but it is a real eye-opener and lets you know how much we take for granted in America. We are a spoiled nation, no doubt. It was the most humbling part of our journey so far.  Thanks to the interns for taking us on this walk and teaching us about the places and the people. We were all so moved from that evening alone, and we are forever touched by the whole experience.

Ethan

The kids looking at the ants... Ethan smashed a few...too funny!

Martin and Dawson enjoy a game of ping pong with the boys after lunch!

Anneli and Khloe. Anneli's time as an intern at NewDay was over, so this was a tough day of goodbye's for everyone!

Khloe and Annie during naptime. Khloe was clearly wiped out after her first emotional morning of alone-time with her new family.

Sweet, Sweet, Sweet.... I'm so happy for y'all. Khloe is just as precious as ever. I love the photo of her sitting between her sis and brother. What a doll!

P.S. I enjoyed the cuisine from the 'breadman' while I visited. YUM... haven't found anything like it here.
