Great Wall and Summer Palace in PICTURES!

Family Photo in front of the Great Wall.

Dawson and our guide, Pete, on the lift in front of us.

The toboggan tracks below ... for the ride down!

My soldiers ... Dawson and Breanna!

Family photo on one of the towers ... several more to go!!  Our last day as a family of four!!

Steep steps ~ the kids and Pete went first, followed by Martin and (looking down from the top) Tanya.  A bit scary, but fun!

Traditional architecture at the Summer Palace.

Some of the signs just crack me up!  Breanna and Dawson strike a pose next to one of them.

Dawson and our guide Pete atop one of the higher points of the Summer Palace. It overlooks the lake area.  I think Dawson made a new friend in Pete!! :)

The photos AND the written post were both WONDERFUL! I think you should do this for a living Tanya :-) --okay, Martin, pick yourself up off the floor--I'm sure Tanya won't jump RIGHT into it ... until Khloe is 3 or 4 maybe. :-)

I love the way you capture things and your word "ginormous" to describe the lazy Susan at your lunch table ... I'm going to use that word more often I think. It is just so wonderful to see your entire family embracing the culture and this family event/transition. I'm sure you are all looking forward to coming back home to share so much but also sad to have to leave such a special place. You will have to return again someday to visit the part of the your heart that you will no doubt leave there.
Blessings!
Valerie
P.S. Hope Breanna is feeling better!!

Oh you are bringing back memories Tanya...at least of the Great Wall...we didn't get to see the summer palace. You guys went to the same section we did...it was indeed breathtaking!! Quite a workout too!! I LOVED those tobogans. John and I thought it was quite funny all those 'safety' guys yelling at you in Chinese over the megaphones;-). We just assumed the were telling us to slow down. I'm not adventuresome when it comes to that stuff and I almost took the chairlift back down but I'm SO GLAD I didn;t. I wanted to go up and do that part again.

I love seeing these updates...can't wait to see you with Khloe as a family of 5!!!! Don't keep us hanging too long;-)!
((((hugs))))

Memories indeed!!! What a special day with the kids in Khloe's birth country. One you all will never forget! Hope Breanna is feeling better. Maybe she just needed a little McD fix! Enjoy your last days! It's almost time to come home.
Love,
Mary

Oh seems like yesterday, or nevermind it was just 3 weeks ago!!!
I love reliving our trip through you guys. Don't you just love Beijing?
The rest of the trip is also wonderful, but write stuff down. We just got home a few days ago and already are forgetting little details we wanted to remember.
Enjoy it all, but mostly your new daughter.
Blessings
