Black & White Wednesday

Exactly 3 weeks from this very moment, we will be somewhere over the Pacific on our way to China...only hours away from meeting our daughter for the first time! After being matched for more than 10 months now, we are beyond ready. It has been a long time coming, but we know she is worth the wait!! Tonight is another of those nights when I long to reach through the screen and wrap my arms around her. My mommy heart aches to hold our daughter. To kiss her sweet cheeks and to tell her how very much we love her. But I know our moment is really coming now. And I'm certain it's not a moment too soon. I know this because I believe God predestined the hour from the beginning of time, so we will meet our daughter at the very moment He chose from the start. And what a priceless moment in time that will be!

As I worked with our travel agent to book tickets today, even she was shocked to see how high the prices were. Unfortunately, that is completely out of our control, and it certainly has increased our bottom dollar. However, we realize that this, too, was not a surprise to God. So we know that He will supply our needs. It's scary at moments to think about, but ultimately that is where our faith comes into play. A friend recently mentioned that God often waits until the 11th hour to make His big entrance, and I know He will not leave us alone in this matter, so I trust it will all work out in the end.

I also want to take this moment to thank everyone for their outpouring of love and support in helping us bring Khloe home. Whether you have been able to help financially or through your encouragement and prayers, or all of the above... we want you to know that EACH of you are now part of Khloe's story, and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for walking this journey with us and helping us bring our daughter home! We are humbled and blessed by the kindness of family, friends and complete strangers who have reached out to help. May God richly bless each one of you for your giving hearts!
