The rules are to name 5 things that we are thankful for, and I'm pretty sure that all of us can do that!! It's so important to slow down long enough to reflect and see all that the Lord has done. This week I am focusing all of my list on our adoption...but believe me, I could go on an on expanding this into many different areas of my life. Here goes.....
- I am so thankful for my beautiful little sister, Kami, who spent the afternoon with me yesterday on my quest to drop off some final documents to our agency... and I am thankful to her for DRIVING in the big city!! ;)
- I am grateful for the YUMMY lunch and fun 'sisters time' we had before heading to the agency, at one of my favorite restaurants: PF Changs... their lettuce wraps are the BEST!!
- I am grateful for my husband who has been juggling, bending and twisting his heavy work schedule the best he can to make sure these documents were properly completed and notarized so that there were NO MORE hold-ups!
- I am thankful to my Heavenly Father for the promises in His word that got us through the latest 'hiccups' of our journey! <><
- I am thrilled beyond 'thankful' that our COMPLETED and APPROVED documents are en route to the Ch*nese C*nsulate today, and that we should FINALLY be D*T*C w/in a couple of weeks!!! PTL!!
I cannot wait to hold our precious daughter in my arms and plant a kiss on those cute little "puckered-up" lips of hers! Is she a hunny or what!!?!! :)

OH, and I really should add a #6 to the list; because I am EVER-SO-GRATEFUL that the foster home facility where our daughter resides posts photos and regular updates of the children there! What a gift that I am able to view all of these beautiful photos and 'borrow' them for my own personal use!! ;)
"Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good. His love endures forever."

Those are wondeful things to be thankful for! I am so excited for you!!!!!
So much to be thankful for... it's all about keeping a faith-filled and grateful perspective, isn't it? :)
P.S. I LOVE the lettuce wraps at P.F. Chang's too!!
Your little sister Kami is incredibly thankful for her girls' day with her older sister, Tanya, too! :) I really had a wonderful time and hope that we can do it again soon!
Loves!
SO much to be thankful for. Your little hunny looks quite different in this picture compared to the others. Maybe it's the side view. She is simply darling.
I am SO happy things are progressing with your journey to Khloe. So happy to hear the news. :) Now more prayers that it all speeds up and you can hold her in your arms asap.
You are such a sweet girl and you have so much faith, it truly is a breath of fresh air.
Jill xx
What beautiful things to be thankful for. I have never done the Thankful Thursday - I should join in and be thankful for what I have as well.
Never eat at a P.F. Changs.
hugs,
Sherri
It is so good to see where you are at in the process. Now I know how to specifically pray for your paperwork and process.
Things are moving along.... one step at a time!
"Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good. His love endures forever."

Your list is amazing!! And she IS quite the hunny. ;)
Hi there!! You already know that this photo is one of my favorites. Love to see those lips puckered!! I was glad to hear that your paperwork hiccups were cleared up. Thanks for praying for us. We finally got our last clearance that we were waiting on for our update just this week. Thank goodness!! Yeah for you guys,DTC!!
I along with some of the other's have never tried PF Chang's. My neice loves to eat there. We will have to try it.
Hugs!!
Thank you for sharing your thankfulness with us!! The more time we spend focusing on the positives, the less time we have to find anything less than the best.
I'm thankful for your afternoon with Kami, and for your paperwork progress... also thankful that you shared your precious photo with us too. She's SO beautiful.
Thankful for the God we serve who breathes good into every moment.

I also wanted to take a moment to give you my gratitude for praying for my husband and I, especially over this past week... I get overwhelmed, choked up, and the tears threaten to overflow when I think of the prayers you and Kami have been praying, and the awesome work that God is doing in our lives, in our marriage, in our roles as parents, right here, right now.
I can't thank you enough... I hope to get a chance to write to you both this weekend and tell you just how your prayers are being answered.
What an awesome God we serve... so thankful.
Awww... what a great list. There is so much to be thankful for. I love that you embrace all things in life... even having lunch at the delicious PF Changs. Love the Lettuce Wraps!
So many things to be thankful for! You lead a blessed life my sister :)
It surely sets or changes your day when you stay focused on Him and all that He has given...both big and small. Love you lots!
Hugs,Tam
So many things to be thankful for...I agree. God's timing is so perfect and He took care of all of those papers didn't He? Your faith is abundant....your love for Him and your family is truly amazing...He will be sending you to China very soon my sweet friend.
P.F. Changs is our family favorite! We love it and always get the lettuce wraps =) I also love the salt and pepper ribs. Yum.
To answer your question about Khloe's size, it was too hard to see when she was sleeping that day we visited, I'm afraid. I bet Carrie would measure her for you. We asked for measurements and got them from Karen, I believe. All were accurate except her weight. She was 4 lbs lighter than all the updates stated.
Good luck with your paperwork!
I am thankful with you.... for so many things.... Thursday it was for my sweet hubby's birthday!
That is so awesome that you get so many pictures of your beautiful girl and can wathc her from a distance. I'm thankful with you that your paperwork is almost done. And how I wish that I had a PF CHang's close, I love their lettuce wraps too:)
Blessings,
Gayly
