Wordless Wednesday ...well, almost!

In December of 2009, I purchased this Hal*mark ornament and 'transformed' it to display a photo of Khloe as we waited to bring her home from China.  In the photo, she is wearing the Christmas dress we had sent her in a care package.  Today, that dress hangs in her closet ...in our home!

As we brought out the holiday decorations this year, my heart skipped a beat when I came across this special ornament.  It was in a different box than our traditional ornaments, so it was missed when we first decorated the tree.  A couple of days later, I found it while unpacking some other decor.  Who better to do the honors of hanging it, than our precious girl!!  I felt my eyes welling with tears as I took these photos of our Khloe.  Her first Christmas home with her family.  A priceless moment, indeed!

Even without our current adoption journey, I would have been fighting back the tears while reading this post...

But so close to Christmas, praying for own adoption journey while remembering praying for yours last year... yeah. Optical leakage.

I do believe I will pick up an ornament this year to mark the anticipation of our new daughter!

Tanya, I remember that ornament from last year! How beautiful to see the flip side this year!!!
I am truly AMAZED at the sparkle in Khloe's eyes and the radiating love she shows in these photos. Yes, she was loved and cared for at ND ... but there is something more now. It honestly takes my breath away. I swear I have seen it in others after they have been adopted into their VERY OWN family too (Georgia, Sophie.)
Merry Christmas!!

Look at that sweet girl putting her ornament up on the tree! It brings hope to me each year as we wait for a new family member to watch Kylie put her similar special ornament up on the tree.
