All Things "GIRLY" !!!

Earlier this evening, my daughter Breanna and I decided to take inventory of Khloe's "things." Needless to say, we have collected a bit more than we remembered over the past several months. Yes, we started shopping a bit early, but who could resist?! ..."Shopping in Faith" as we used to call it!! And now we KNOW she will get to wear them! It was fun to look back over all that we have for our sweet girl! Soon we will begin working on her nursery. Though she likely won't spend a long time in her crib, we will still start out that way before transitioning her to a larger bed...probably when she turns three or so. I will save photos of her nursery furnishings/decor for another time. But this round I thought you might enjoy seeing some of her pretty 'girly-girl' things...from dresses to dolls, it's all here!! :)

This first one is a gift we received from my brother's family in celebration of our PA Day: A happy yellow sundress!
Thanks Jeremy, Missy, Lexie and Zack!
Khloe will certainly look adorable in it!!

Below are various groups of cute outfits and pretty dresses that we have been collecting for awhile now. Some are new and some are gently used ...but ALL are ADORABLE!! :)

A little bit of "Lilly Pulitzer"...gotta love those classic girly prints!! :)
And ALL of the following are by my favorite designer line of 'girly girl' clothing... "Matilda Jane" (so much fun to mix and match!)

And last, but not least: Khloe's doll collection:

Her pretty play dolls!

Every girl needs her CPK's!! :)

And who can resist the beautiful "Lee Middleton" dolls?!

I know, I might need to visit some "Shopaholics Annonymous" support group or something! But when you're starting from scratch, it's hard to know when to stop!! She's worth EVERY bit, though! :)

Love how you have been "shopping in faith"! I must admit there's nothing like buying for a girl. Khloe will look adorable in all those cute outfits and I'm sure she'll love all her babies!

Love it all!! Yet something most important is missing from those outfits... Khloe needs some bows!!
Now that you've shared some of her wardrobe I know exactly what to create to get her started. Drop me an email with your address and I'd love to send some as a gift. Can't wait for the day to see her wearing her darling clothes :)
Blessings,
Kelly

Cute clothes for Khloe! I was going to ask what size she is. I might have a few sewing projects in mind *hint hint*. Can't wait to see how you do the nursery. What fun that will be to pick everything out.

You are so stinkin lucky. I LOVE Matilda Jane clothes. I caught the "bug" the Matilda Jane bug that is. I am having such a hard time buying some. I finally found a trunk keeper but she says she will not have anything until September. I finally bought one of the knot dresses off of Ebay. But the prices on Ebay are way more than you would buy them from a trunk keeper. I love everything you posted, especially the Minnie outfit...too precious, it's so much fun to shop for a little girl!

Many Blessings,
Deanna

Hi! I actually found your blog from a comment you left on a friend's blog {The Almy Family Journal.} Anyway, just thought I'd say congrats! I love to hear about adoption stories! My daughter's name is Chloe, but I love the name with the 'K' spelling too! Cute! God bless! Angie :)

I especially love the Matilda collection of clothing that you picked out! Oh my ... it reminds me how "lucky" I am to have 3 boys (in some respects)... It would be crazy fun buying little girl clothes and my husband is not prepared for that side of me I fear. Oh they are just so cute! That is so fun that you and your older daughter can bond over that too. You are so very, very blessed for that relationship. I'm excited to see photos of Khloe (although I did notice her naming announcement on her site too--how sweet! I was thinking that you might have been matched with Maria/Kerstin orginally from your early posts. It was neat to find out otherwise too. Khloe has such a beautiful smile!

It's so cool that you've been to Gooseberry Falls and love that area too. We're about 8 hours south of Grand Rapids, MN ... so with Duluth being about due East of there we're probably the same distance to Gooseberry. (We always come from Jeff's mom's so we don't drive straight there.) We love MN--well, most parts of it anyway. Visiting family gets a bit intense because of differing views--but we love it when our little family is off on our own. Our 2 oldest boys are decorating their rooms right now and one has chosen the Wild and the other the Gophers--since they share a room I'm working on how we'll pull this off. But I got quite a chuckle.

Take care and have lots of fun accessorising for your little girl for those of us who get to enjoy the fun posts! :-)

Sweet, sweet, sweet!!!! I agree with Tami, Khloe will be one well dressed little girl!

It must be so much fun to shop for her while you wait for her to come home. It reminds me of when I used to shop for girl clothes before I even got pregnant with our daughter -- I was "shopping in faith" then too. After two boys, had to get some pink retail therapy happening!

So excited for you!!

Look at all the cute outfits you have and all the fun dolls. How exciting. I have been looking for something for you and Khloe, but it looks like you might have enough clothes...is there still something you need? Otherwise girls never can have too many clothes and I have so much fun shopping for them!

Love,
Angela

OK, so if we adopt...or rather when we adopt a little girl, can I come to your house for a yard sale and buy all of Khloe's outgrown clothes?! There is NOTHING like shopping for little girls! *sigh* Hey, it's worth the plane trip! :0)

Really, BEAUTIFUL little outfits, for your little miracle. I love the 'shopping in faith' too. What better way to shop!?

Oh, yes, I agree with Kelly (Girly Girl Mommy!) She needs some dainty (but durable) bow to to go with all of her ultra cute duds.

Adorned like a princess, and rightfully so! Oh the joy that comes from this post. May your joy only continue to grow and bubble over into more lives.

Thanks for your sweet words on my blog, I just started, never written before publicly, just in my journal, God and i. I doubted God could use my words, but I am learning. Learning to trust my potter and get back up on His potter's wheel.

Blessings from Costa rica,
Sarah Dawn

You've got a great collection going! I'm sure there will be many more ADORABLE things added to it before your Khloe arrives! :) Little girls are way too much fun to shop for--you should see my parents in Pottery Barn Kids! Fortunately, I save alot of money that way! Lol! I'm so excited for you!!!

I LOVE all the girly stuff Khloe has waiting for her! We got Emma the Corolle doll that you have still in the box (with the headband) for her on her first Christmas with us (she was 2) and it is the ONLY baby doll she has ever loved. It's kind of ratty now but she still loves her. She'd been a bit neglected but when we brought Owen home she's gotten lots of attention again. It's a scream to see her sniff her bottom and see if she needs a diaper change!

Fun to learn that you are a scrapbooker! Even if you don't get to do it but once a year, you're still one! :)

Blessings!

Ann
